Luna Moth

Initially half hidden by the chrysanthemum leaf beneath it, I tried to move the leaf so I would have a better view and found the moth seemingly glued to the leaf. Got a scissors and carefully separated it from the plant, then turned over the moth to get this shot. This is the only the second one I've seen - last was in 2009.

I would freak out seeing one of these as I do not like moths...and these are huge monsters! Great shot! (my brothers used to take moths & butterflies, and hold them cupped in their hands to my face...and also put them in my bed.)
