Bookends - Male and Female North Flickers

The male has the black stripe leading from his beak.)
I got real excited when I saw a second flicker aiming for the feeder and quickly went for the camera body which had my 300mm lens on it. This was shot through my sliding glass door before full daylight. (It gets light very late here as we're almost into the next time zone.) Learn about them here: http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/northern_flicker/id
