Yes...there are still miracles these days! I believe the fabric was grayish - and I thought I ought to at least experiment and see what would happen if I bounced the flash right off it and got these amazing results. i had a Stofen Omnibounce on the flash. Their instructions state to tilt the flash head to a 45 degree angle. I found that the caused ugly shadows under necks. Actually, when I had to use direct flash it looked better that the results from the 45 degree angle.
