Homemade Green Tea Ice Cream

Well...sorta homemade. I add matcha (green tea powder) to store-bought vanilla ice cream (in this case, Mayfield's Classic Vanilla). Add one teaspoon at a time of the matcha powder to a one and three-quarter quart container of just slightly softened ice cream which you place in a food mixer. Beat after each teaspoon of tea powder is added and taste. I liked it with about 3 teaspoons of tea powder. Matcha Powder can be bought in Japanese markets. I don't have one near me so I ordered through Amazon. Please note: Don't use a vanilla with a very strong vanilla flavor. It will overpower the flavor of the tea.
