Had I not used the plus exposure compensation his sleeves might not have been overexposed! The settings on the S3 often much customization but when subjects are moving targets you often don't have time to change them to suit changes of lighting. The flash does very well for fill, not creating harsh shadows behind subjects (especially outdoors :-)
