_MG_0855 Beautyberry

Picked up as not much more than a twig at a county fair, this has grown in two years to a bush that's about 4 feet high and wide - it's crammed into a spot that's too small for it. Beautyberry likes moist spots and we haven't always paid attention to its needs, but we're had lots of rain, so its thriving in its semi-shady spot. http://www.eattheweeds.com/beautyberry-jelly-on-a-roll/

A great color contrasted shot of the beautyberry bush! A very fitting name for these unusually colored berries.V!
