Minus one exposure compensation

Just as I've experienced with my other digital cameras, it's best to use minus exposure compensation when shooting in contrasty situations like this. It helps prevent detail burnouts in highlight areas. It's hard to see the screen in bright sunlight - but I could tell when the green focus box was on. With the breeze when I shot this, it was popping in and out of focus.

compensation is critical when you have sun and shade like this. You handled it very well.

came out great. Love the dof especially with the holes in the leaf. Wind makes shooting flowers and insect a challenge.
