I do the same thing to what I have ... esoecually change the wide shoulder band that screem Nikon or Canon in BIG WIDE yellow letters ... Geez, may as well write COME AND STEAL ME istead. Why attracting more attention to you, a photographer should be able to go in/out without having been seen ... the less obvious the presence, the better.
Your bag is perfect now, good quality, will protect your precious gear and hide in the background of life as you carry it.
