I want to encourage - make that URGE - people who are 50 and over who have had chicken pox to get a shingles vaccination. I have met many people who've either had shingles or know people who've had it and it isn't fun and can have lasting serious consequences.

I HATE shots and avoid them at most costs, but I couldn't wait to get this one after the horror stories I heard. It's not easy to find places that have the vaccine. My doctor's office does not offer it. I found it in a local Rite Aid Pharmacy.
