I bought this after seeing it in use on Bill McClung's LX3. It really helps and I used it in bright sunlight to shoot the following two macros. It cuts off the sides of the image and a tiny bit of the histogram but you can look around the side to check what's there. Really doesn't help much in bright sunlight. I've since bought a "Clearviewer" http://www.Clearviewer.com and that works much, much better.
