We chose to stay mostly in the car and to take the eight mile wildlife drive, since the warnings about deer ticks were taken seriously, and our legs ached from an energetic four mile hike, partially in un-umbrellaed rain, yesterday. When we saw a photo op we either shot from the opened car window, or we got out of the car. We did not arrive at the optimum time of day. The sun rises very early in this eastern location and we should have been at the refuge a couple of hours earlier.
