The 6th Annual Strait Thunder Hydroplane Races held in Port Angeles, Washington on October 4th and 5th, 2008. What started out as gray skies and swells on Saturday culminated in blue skies and fantastic racing on Sunday. A new (but very familiar) champion was crowned and in a quirk of fate this was accomplished using the same hull that flipped at last year's Strait Thunder and had not raced as an Unlimited Light since then. After extensive repairs over the last year it was called into last minute action when it's sister hull was damaged the weekend before and could not be repaired in time.
