Hi Tim, I think this may have been taken on Fir Island behind my house. Terrific pictures! and a lot of places you've been. I’ll go for Rising To The Mist. Later that day: About 30 minutes after your depart, half-wits began shooting wildly in the fog and result was several injured + dazed birds on the ground. I watched the injured bird you had earlier pointed out run straight into my yard. Funny how he knew where to go despite shock and bleeding wing. The hunter's half-wit dog was given orders to retrieve the thing (despite it having entered my yard) and so dog charged the poor thing hard. That is when I went nutso: outrage + insult stopped the maybe not so stupid dog in his tracks. Hunter pretended to be a victim of impulse as terrible scorn was heaped upon him. He had blundered - hunting in the fog. The injured bird went to a wildlife rehab place and it's nice to think this one got away. The bird was very light in weight, a cornish hen would make bigger eats. Very gorgeous, its eyes were wild, black, totally harmed and soft...an amazing animal whose blood was ghastly/wrong against snowy feathers. In conclusion: I prefer photographers. Your pictures are terrific. Rising To The Mist will commemorate your 'shoot' nicely for me. Yay!
