Tall Ship

Tall Ship

This Tallship Stavros S Nicarchos, was actually berthed at Barry Dock when I photographed it.
I removed the quayside & the town behind with clone tooling.
I recreated the rigging from looking at the original.
The mist and tone were added to give it this mood.

This is one well done piece of work.
I myself like the touch with the white boat. It adds to the mystic and size of the Stavros S Nicarchos.

Absolutely beautiful... The composition, the colours, the detail... I just love it.
Guest 15-May-2004 15:09
As if you needed to hear it again...this is just great. I suggest you print it as large as you can, frame it, and proudly display it!

One little regret...I'm not sure I like the white boat in the fog. It can stay there, but I might throw a thin veil of "fog" over it.

Really like the mood on this. Very mysterious.

I would remove the white boat on the left - it takes attention away frm your great work.
Marisa D.L.06-Jan-2004 20:53
Splendid! I'm totally in love with this reminds me of the legend of the Flying Dutchman.
You are a real artist, you have not only the sense of aesthtic and the right technical skills, you have feelings and emotions to express in colours and shapes too.
