Shorebird shots from a three day trip to Phetchaburi, from 09.01.2008 to 11.01.2008. The whole purpos of the trip was to see Spoon-billed Sandpiper in Pak Thale which I had failed to see the year before despite a full day of searching. This year however, all went well, and I found my first one on the first morning after just 30 minutes. This left me with plenty of time to photograph birds. Many of the shots below are actually not really from the Phetchaburi area but from Kok Kham saltpans (closer to Bangkok) where I spent an afternoon on my way back to - the other shots are from the saltpans at Pak Thale and Laem Pak Bia, the mangroves at Laem Pak Bia, the sandspit at Laem Pak Bia. Pictures of other birds than shorebirds from this trip can be found in another gallery.
