The sigma 50-150 F/2.8 performs better then my nikkor80-200ED on my D200. It has a faster auto focus and is extremely sharp. It is more useful then my 70-200VR on my D2x because of the size, weight and close focusing distance. Use the sigma 50-150/2.8 combined with the D200 or D2x, it is a wonderful combination. The Nikkor 70-200 VR is designed for a full frame camera like the D3 or F6, most of the weight and length of that lens is not necessary for the D200, D300 or D2x. I wish Nikon would make a DX version of the 70-200VR, smaller and lighter.

Hi, thank you for sharing this sample photos!
There are many of us interested into this lens. If you have time, as Mihail Popov suggested, could you please take some comparison shots with other lenses you own, especially at f/2.8-5.6 (yup, a comparison with 70-200 would be great in the 70-150 focal range, I'm pretty sure 70-200 would win, but we could see how far away this lens would be from it; but any other lens would also be good).

Hi, I enjoyed looking at your sample photos with the Sigma 50-150 F/2.8. I am looking to buy this lens myself - can you tell me how does it perform, especially wide open? If you can compapre to other well known Nikon lenses such as the 28-105 macro, 70-200 VR, the 80-200 ED, the 18-70, the 18-200 VR or any of the primes that would be great. Thank you!
