First one European Paper Wasp became ensnared in the Black Widow's web; the
victim released stress pheromones which normally summon others for aid. A second
wasp was then caught as well. The spider then emerged from her lair and bit both
wasps; after their struggles ceased she wrapped them up and dragged them into her
hiding place in the detritus of an old cardoon plant. Both wasps are males.
