Now this is my kind of gallery! I too love finding old abandoned bitz to capture. They all conjure up so many stories in the looker's imagination. A glimpse into the past of lives lived long ago. Fantastic collection Mike. You get my votes hands down!!

Great gallery, makes me wonder what has happened to the owners, what is that that leads people to abandon once cherished belongings instead of doing away with them? It is like an in-between state, not in-use but not gone either, it does capture my imagination. Even more so, since scenes like that are virtually unknown around my area!

There was an old carbody on the farm where I grew up, similar to the one in the "Modern Headlight" photo. I played on it as a child, visited it as an adult and assumed it would always be there. Sometime in the late 90's it was taken by someone, we don't own the farm anymore so what can I say, I was still disappointed. Now when I go to a Show n Shine I wonder if one of the cars might be "mine". I like your eye Mike.

Increadible images! I have wanted so many times to stop and shoot images of old relics like this myself so mant times while driving accross contry myself it is just awsome to see someone who has. Grrrrr is probably my favorite but only by a slim margin.

Frankly speaking I don't find this gallery "fun".
I like it very much and I'm happy I could discover it. It's taken in a very personal and original way and it's full of a gentle melancholy, and , once again, it shows how beauty can be everywhere, even though one is oftent stuck to more traditional stereotypes.
I hope to see more in future, so I'll come back regularly.
