Vintage Altec

You can't beat the sound of Vintage Altec Lansing speakers.
I found these pair of Model Three's in a pawn shop and just had to add them to my collection.
The sales book is from the mid 70's when I picked up a pair of Model Nine's.
I'm going to refinsh these but they are in pretty darn good shape for the age on them.
Testing them on my old Kenwwood Amp should be fun too....

I love the old school systems with big ol' real wood speakers and minimal receiver functions. Just enough to do whats needed, play vinyl. My first stereo was a Kenwood with Infinity speakers. 100 watts of parent annoying power! Turn it up, Mike, I want to hear it all the way out here!!

Great speakers....can't wait to hear how they sound! You gotta post them when you are done refinishing them!

Some tunes while you work - excellent. Are we going to see the finished product?

Nice find Mike, both as a photographer and as an audiophile. Good luck with the refinishing.

I know just how you feel. Sadly, I had to get rid of mine. Gotta make room for baby.
