Old World Diver

Arlene and I were out shopping all day Saturday, running here and there.
We stopping in at a little coffee shop I know of before we headed home.
I had not had the camera's out all day and I carted them into the coffee shop in the
hope I could get a shot. This theme was all over in this place so I cranked off a few
3200iso shots and put the camera away....
This was proccesed in Photo Shop Elements 6 with a HDR plugin tone mapped and also
a Orton filter..all from one image. This is kind of a cool effect.
The bright spot over the world and helmet is from a spot light in the coffee shop.

Nikon D300
1/40s f/6.3 at 28.0mm iso3200 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Well done. I learned something new - Orton Effect - looked it up and now I have it in my repertoire. I'm so jealous of you guys... sigh :-(

Cool image Mike…a little relax time, a little coffee, some photo ops while doing the aforementioned. Yup, you’re living the dream. (Even if it was only a few minutes out of a day of shopping.)

ps also, the ISO3200 is amazing and still gives a very clean image.

It works very well Mike, and I like how using the Orton effect ups the saturation a bit for colourful subjects like this.
