The "Peacock" Chair

This chair my Mom & Dad called the "Peacock" Chair it was due to the peacock pattern of the covering.
Ordered from a fine furniture store sometime in the late 60's or very early 70's
it sat in a corner of the living room with only one rule "Do Not Sit In It".
Mom and Dad would leave and I would carefully sit!!! refluffing the seat before they came home.
It has always sparked interest with people that see it to this very day.
All the original tags, labels and swatch of covering sample still remain with this chair.
This now sit's in my livingroom in the corner and the same rule is followed to this day.
It looks as good as the day it came home from the store.

other sizes: small medium original auto

A well built chair you have. One piece from the leg to the arm rest. If only we could get our last three US funiture companies to make furniture like this again. It's a nice looking chair, would look great in a sunroom.

Pull up a chair and sit a spell...oops...but not in that chair! Beautiful piece of furniture. Your folks had great taste! Love the angle on this shot!

Okay, so the rule is there but are you still breaking the rule? ;o)
Yes, a very cool chair....you need to make a visit to Antiques Roadshow!
