272C & PC210 Reclaimer

From my shoot last week at a Mid Northern potash mine. All the images that I submitted for approval passed
with flying colours, so I can post a few of these very cool underground machines.....
I really had to pack light for this trip 3500 feet underground and needed to move fast to shoot all the equipment.
So I worked my night painting tricks into some shots that were completely in the dark, and I mean dark.
For this image we used the lights of the landcruzer to paint most of the machine with the Cat work lights as fill
for the surrounding area. I braced myself against the drift (wall) and hand held this image at ISO 4000 @ f/10 and 1/2 second.
I never once considered bringing my tripod with me on this trip.......

This is a great shot Mike. I don't find the 24-70 easy to hold for long exposures, it is a pretty heavy lens.

Oh I'd like to have this machine for a bit - looks like I could do some serious work with it. Great shot!
