Gods Acre

Dorothy, Alberta

If you look at the previous image this one shows how close these two churchs really are.
Just across the street from one and other I thought this would make good image.
It is real nice to have 2 D300's one with the wide angle lens on to capture images like this
without using up to much time to change out glass for different shots...

Nikon D300 ,Sigma 10-20mm HSM
180s f/5.6 at 10.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Beautiful capture! v

Just perfect, especially that patch of blue sky on the left hand side. I suppose having 2 cameras saves you that frustrating wait for the camera to do its noise reduction thing before you can reshoot!

Very cool shot. There is a surreal quality about this.

Beautifully done Mike...the balance of lighting is perfect. Pretty liberal use of the word street though :-)

Oops, forgot to say I think this is an exceptional shot. You and the Vatorman are so good at these night paintings!

Just wondering, how do you avoid distortion at 10mm?
Cindi Smith05-Aug-2008 04:37
Oh yeah! When I don't think it can get any better it does! Whoa! V

OH one Mike, I never thought of doing a shot like that. Sweet!! I hope you had fun doing the shot. When I was out there something was getting killed in the hoo doo's, what a horrific scream. By the way the Catholic Church is supposedly haunted, I was light painting in the confessional at 1am, talk about creepy. Give me a shout next time you are in the neighborhood.
