Cupar.......The Death of an Elevator

Built over 70 years ago and added to in the 60's this elevator was never offered for sale. The demolition was to make way for a new seed plant on this site.
To add to this the day was overcast rainy and COLD!!! How fitting....
This elevator was hauled to a farm yard some miles out of town to a pit that was dug were it will be burned and buried forever.
Sad thing is that the farm land that this elevator is buried on already has 4 elevators beneath it's soil......

Very painfull to look at Mike, but I do smell the 80 or so years of dust. Great series.
