This was my second attempt at my first project for the A-level course. For this the main influence came from Thomas Ruff with his colour image of a bathroom tap. However other research took in the work of William Eggleston, Thomas Ruff and Andre Kertesz.
I particularly liked shooting this project and found much more to shoot than I thought. All images were shot inside my own home. I stared in the bathroom, with a mind to re-creating the image from Thomas Ruff. This I managed to some extent but I seemed to be able to find more opportunities for a shot as I moved around the room. I found this to be the case in the other rooms I shot in (bedroom, kitchen and lounge).
All the work was done on the Canon EOS 5 using Ilford HP5 (ISO 400) film and developed by myself. The images were printed at college and to keep to the true images I have only cropped these to remove the negative edges.
