The cloud

From my living room - Nyon (Switzerland)

Face to face with a curious cloud, which is peeping inside.
It’s a strange sudden feeling, we looks at each other, as if the cloud was really staring at me.
It’s a strange little cloud, unnatural, like a cartoon one,
like the clouds which are painted on the wall and on the ceiling of some children’s bedrooms.
As a child I had white and green wallpaper and a creamy ceiling in my room.
I would have liked instead a painted blue sky with fluffy silly white clouds, exactly like this one, clouds which looks like sheep playing in a blue field.
I told myself: “When I have my own home, I’ll decorate it the way I like and I’ll paint a sky just for me on the ceiling, so I’ll be able to look at it before sleeping and it will be light blue also at night.
Time passed I had my own home, but I never painted a blue cloudy sky on the ceiling and then I forgot...
Today an adventurous cloud came to me to remind me of my childhood wish.
I don’t dare to move, If I get up from the armchair where I’m sitting, the perspective will change and the lake, the familiar landscape will take the place of the cloud...
I could not get it painted, but I can take a photo of it, I reach out for my camera, stretching a little, I don’t want to see anything else in the photo, so I cannot stand up.
The little cloud now is mine...nearly forever.

A joy to behold... but is it a bird, a plane or Supercloud.

I love cloud shapes...this could be a puffing floating cherub. Charming anecdote and image....which you can now put on your ceiling!

I have often gazed up through my skylight but never have seen a cloud exactly like this one.I see a fish with sunglasses. Talk about survival of summer!
