35mm: The Entrance

Spotted this simple scene while trekking the woods.

Note: This image was shot on iso800 color film, not really my first choice
for this kind of scene. I stopped by this place unexpectedly, and it so
happened to be the film I had in camera. Unlike digital, you can't just
change the iso whenever you feel like it. You may be able to push it a
little, but it's not the same. Some people see it as a disadvantage.
I like it because it forces you to work with what you've got.
Fortunately, even today's high speed films are of much higher quality
than the films of yesteryear.

Very nice, even at ISO 800. It just goes to show that its always best to use the tools you have on hand, even if they are not perfect for the moment. Beautiful work on this!!

Fantastic. It creates an irresistible urge to travel down that path to see more of what is there. ~V~

You can make any combo of camera and film work like a champ! The mere mortal, like me, would have blown every highlight with a wide open lens like that at iso 800. Skillful Sam !

beautiful shot wide open!...I agree that the modern high speed films are very capable. Even the Superia 1600 gives nice results....V
