Storm Approaching Dunottar

Dunottar Castle, Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

If I was asked to name my favourite castle in Scotland this would be it. The ruins themselves are not particularly impressive but oh my location, location, location.. I arrived on a stormy afternoon and stayed until quite late when honey coloured light pierced the clouds spotlighting the castle with acutely angled light.

Great warm/cool contrast and the horizon slashing through the castle nicely acentuates the craggy outline of the ruins. It's a great shot but the only nit might be that it doesn't get at the sense of vastness of the sea beyond; for that there would need to be more area of the sea(context) included.
