Reflections

I see a former self
I hang on my own walls
It is there that I dwell
When I cast my eyes on them
they call out to me
I remember it like yesterday
Everything I felt at that time
I do not look back in sadness
All in it's own time
And with that time the sadness fades.
It is replaced by strength inside.
Could the man in this photo
see this future?
Would he want to?
I don't think he could.
He was too fragile.
He was too contained.
He was too broken to see it.
There are many lessons he needs.
The tempering of the fire.
Many mountains to climb before
he is the one looking back at himself.
