This little guy has been at the kitchen window every day for almost a week. I'm not sure why, but he's been jumping up and down, fluttering and pecking on the window-glass, and singing his pretty Cardinal songs. Either he's fascinated by my camera, is in love with his reflection, is enjoying the attention, or maybe he's a departed soul trying to contact someone! :) Whatever the reason, it's been fun observing him.

Great shot and lucky to have such a close up view of a normally very skittish bird! You are an excellent "den mother" to all these gorgeous critters and birds, January! ~BV~

Ah, it's spring and mating season...he's challenging the handsome stranger in the window to go away!!! This is his territory and no other mighty male may It is adorable to watch, ours does it to the garage door window. Such wonderful shots you are getting!!!

Great close-up, January. It's hard to analyze motives, especially for birds. The photographer's motive, however, was to get a beautiful capture. Vote

Solid punk with a country soul. And, I said it before; it's a full Cardinal crush. Unless, he is only pure rocker and taken with his own reflection in the storm window. Hammer is going to get all cat-like now; that should be good for some local January humor. Hammer lays the Garfield on Doby the Cardinal. I'll put my Benjamins on the Cardinal ;-) Great shot of pure Cardinal attitude. g

He's gorgeous, can you send him to me in England please?
Sandi Whitteker21-Mar-2008 06:27
Isn't that interesting. What great fun to watch. You didn't mention cat burgler. Ok, may be unlikely for a bird to try to steal a cat. Super shot January.
