The "grocerymobile" at rest. I've begun doing most of my grocery shopping
at Henry's, using my bike as transportation. It's fun; I get a little
exercise, and it takes less time, actually, than firing up the car and driving
to a conventional super(sized) market.
I've learned I can fit about one grocery store hand-held basket of stuff on
the bike. I've stopped having them bag it -- I just take the grocery basket
out to the bike and load up.
While I will still need to use my car for larger purchases, I think I can
probably do 85-90% of my food shopping by bike. It makes me feel healthy
and like I'm making a small contribution to ending our dependence on foreign oil!
