Wat Poramai Yikawat is a relatively modest temple, but has gotten a lot of royal attention over the years. The royal insignia of Rama V is prominently displayed on the ubosot's pediment. King Chulalongkorn preserved the traditional ways of the Mons here, inlcuding the use of their language in prayers and the Buddhist scriptures.
