Here's a shot of our campsite and the shielding rocks. You can't really see it, but I'm wearing flip-flops. I didn't want anything rubbing against my pre-blistered ankles. Earlier, at the trailhead, I sprayed on liquid band-aid, plastered them with huge pieces of moleskin, and they still ended up looking like hamburger. In the wee hours of the morning, before starting for the summit, I went with my last line of defense: Dr. Scholl's ® blister treatment cushlins TM. They worked incredibly well!! I didn't feel any pain at all on the climb! Not even while front-pointing!
