Our basic photographic M.O. on this trip was that I would pack the bigger camera body and our fastest long lens for bird shots and Melanie would carry the lighter camera with a macro and a landscape lens. Although we switched off often enough, the majority of the macro shots from Ecuador are hers. She did a great job with these.
