Thanks Tom. I sometimes get away with the day early thing provided I shoot in the evening. The global time lines give me a 6 hour head start. It's the 6 hours at the end that are a real bummer. -COAmature

Seems right on target/topic to me.
ps Doug, I'm going to stop shooting on Wednesdays, seems my shots are often a day too early also.

I wanted to check in on this one, Doug. A touch of sharpening might be in order, but otherwise ... to say that at least the lines are leading to/from something; hence, I feel this is entirely ON TOPIC. Many of the pix being entered in this Challenge are just lines that lead here and there, i.e. to/from nothing in particular, and they seem to be OK with those that are commenting. This is a great pic, IMhO. Too bad about the timing. Another few hours and it would have been eligible for Eligible. Cheers, -mikey

if you ask me, it's kinda backwards to the way I think of "leading lines" vs subject, but never mind that, it's still a really great photo of the boy! - b.c.

I don't know Tommy there is nowhere to go to if the eye follows down the canon. If the background was in focus I might have agreed with you but the eyes will chose sharp over blur every time...............Cept maybe for me magnificent bokeh picys:-)

Not sure either if this is a leading line or not, but great shot of your son :)
(maybe if the canon was going outward and son at the tip of it .........)

This is a neat image where the eye does indeed go right to the boy, but then proceeds further into the background to the frame and back around again. I think this actually does lead "in" because of the perception that the canon is protruding toward us from the picture plane; so there is nowhere to go but "in". If the boy were touching the frame, it would conform more with Rods Rule, but it wouldn't be as effective. -tv

This is quite probably on topic Doug but the problem for me is my eyes go straight to your son. Because the canon is further away from the camera than your son it seems unnatural for me eyes to go into the shot at the bottom right corner & follow the barrel up to your son which is what a leading line shoud do. Great picy of your son Doug.
