Hellfire and Brimstone

Ok, the first sign said "Jesus or HELL".
The other said "If you die without JESUS you burn in the lake of fire forever".

This guy had no need for the whole New Testament "Loving God" thing.
He was sticking with the Old Testament vengeful and jealous God thing.
The part that I just don't understand with people like this is how they twist it up?
Sure God loves you, but step outside the lines and he throws a tantrum?
Apply logic and off to eternal torture in a Dutch oven?
Does God still waterboard if you eat hot dogs on Fridays?
How do they call that love???

He was just off the scale.
He is actually wagging his finger at a group of construction workers.
Almost every one of them was laughing at him because he was just spouting at them.
It really was a strange scene.

Why is this here?
Well, that is a good question.
The word for the day is hypocryte.
Here is a guy trying to teach a message of love with hate.
He is trying to bully people into his way of thinking.
I guess he feels the end justifies the means.
I am sure nobody points out to him that he is using hate and fear to do this.
He is using anger, guilt and hellfire to storm down on the non-believers.
Maybe he thinks that if he can bring them to love by pushing them with hate it is ok.
After all, Jesus loves you and if you don't believe that, well you need a pounding.
Ummmmm, yeah, the word for the day is hypocryte.

What makes a guy want to go into the city,
strap some signs to his body, and yell at people?
Then get irritated when people laugh at him?

Maybe you can't face reality... You will see at the end, I'm sure.

I just don't get this. Why is this one of the most popular photos in my gallery?
It is not a great shot, heck, it is not sharp.
And yet since I took it, this is probably my second most viewed photo.
That still surprises me.

Its so sad to me that no one is at least curious about this man's message. Sure he seems to be a little extreme, but frankly the reality of what he trying to get across is extreme. I am a christian, which u probably have already figured out. Jesus Christ is a part of the trinity that makes up God, which is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus is the "Son" part. He came down from His throne in heaven to suffer a horrible and brutal death on a cross for the purpose of being the ultimate and final sacrifice for the sins of all humanity. He did this because He knew sin must be punished, and that that punishment comes in the form of damnation in hell. So in a nutshell Jesus who is also God, became a man so that He could become a divine sacrifice to satisfy the wrath of God (the Father) and make a way for man to be with the lord forever. All one must do to be saved is believe in Jesus Christ and the selfless sacrifice He made to save us from eternal death in hell. Thats all it takes, pretty simple huh? What an amazing deal don't you think? Man gives God his sins, and God gives us eternal life in heaven with Him forever. We don't deserve it, but that shows us how much God loves us. So yes this man in the above picture may appear to be almost crazy, but in reality he is just trying to convey the seriousness of what it means for a person to die with their sins unforgiven.

I pay no attention to these clunks, esp. those with a rep. for insane interpretaions, setting dates for the end of the world (never kept), special revelations for today...such as the Koreans and the Blacks( Dr. Moon, Dr.Lee, Bang Ik Ha). I also do not waste my time watching these TV evangelists.
It proves to me that Jesus was just a bandit chief, never did or said anything in the new testament, never rose from the dead and is NOT coming back. So relax !

To quote Robert Heinlein: "Religion is a crutch for people who can't face reality". This guy is just a mildly extreme case of reality avoidance.
