Morning Frost

Jasper National Park view map

We got up early one morning to catch a sunrise at Pyramid Lake in Jasper NP. It turned out to be
cloudy with mist over the lake. The light on the mountains and lake was unspectacular, so we decided
to explore around and shoot some of the frost-covered plants. These frosted leaves caught my eye and
I liked how the autumn leaves created a colorful background.
Some of you might consider the colorful leaves as a distraction but to me they seem help tell the story.

Beautiful shot.... but I hope there's no more frost until the end of the year now.

Fred, this is beautiful. The
background really sets off
the frosty leaves.
