Giant Forest Mushrooms

Hawn State Park, Missouri view map

For this image I was trying to make the mushrooms be part of the forest. I put the camera directly on the ground using sticks and stones to prop it at the correct angle. The mushrooms were too dark compared to the light filtering through the tree. I didn't have a flash - but do I carry a small LED headlamp which did the trick. I took a number of images focused on the mushroom and then the background trees and merged them with Helicon Focus.
