Knowing that our plans for the Mountaineers Route were out of the question due to our weather delay, we opted to hike out a day early. Because it was raining pretty steadily every day, we weren't all that conflicted about the decision. We just hoped that we could get down past the ledges before we met up with a rainstorm or boot emergency. We were planning on waking up at about seven thirty or so, but we all just spontaneously woke up early and started to pack up.
