Snake Alley is the "Crookedest Street in the World" according
to Ripley's Believe It or Not, rivaling Lombard Street in San Francisco.
The alley consists of five half-curves and two quarter-curves and drops
58 feet covering a distance of 275 feet. The alley was constructed of brick
in 1894 by three Germans and modeled from vineyard paths in France and Germany.
The brick paving is still the original used in construction and the alley is
accessable to motor vehicles yet today.
