This young lady was playing a Koto (sp?). I wanted a shot that would fill the frame, but I didn't want to get so close as to disturb her concentration. Luckily, I had the Tamron 300mm with me. I opened the lens all the way to f2.8 and shot away.
I also didn't want to use a flash, but needed to get some shutter speed to avoid motion blur (she really got into her music at times!), so I cranked the ISO to 1600. Unlike the K10D, there really aren't too many compromises by going this high with the K100D. I haven't even run this shot through NeatImage yet. Definately an advantage to the 6MP body!
