Just beneath the surface
by ifotog

Not sure that this counts...

This is a manually focused image of a reflection just beneath the surface of a running stream.

The light of the sky, shadows of the trees, and ghosting of the "stuff" on the bottom made for an interesting image IMO.

I find it odd that this was not visible to my eye when I looked into the water.
I was actually looking at the ripples and reflections on the surface, then,
out of curiosity went to focus on the stream bed and found this sandwiched in between the two images.
I quickly scanned for an appealing set of lines and snapped this when I saw it.

This is so different - I see green bows - you'd never guess it was water - love it!

A marvellous abstract image - I'm not sure what you've focussed on!

Before reading the description I thought it was a nice image, but after knowing what it is I think this is an amazing image, very creative and well executed.

Excellent. I would have never guessed it was water.

I like the image a lot, and I'm especially intrigued by your process of "discovering" it. This is proof that the camera is not necessarily a literal recording of reality as we normally see it (which is the meaning of "abstract" in my opinion). Excelling work!

Very interesting - I wouldn't have guessed what it was without your description. Nice abstract.

This makes for a wonderful abstract, very beautifully done!
