Stodmarsh Nature Reserve, Kent

This is the first kingfisher I've seen this year.
I'd waited nearly 3 hours for a Kingfisher to turn up,
I was just packing my camera away when this male kingfisher appeared!

Wow! How cool is this? Great series of shots. I got a few shots of my yellow-crested night heron chowing down on a crawfish earlier... http://mrmikemgm.com/inbox/ Mine are nowhere near as sharp as these. I had significant groundcover in front of me that I had to bokeh out to keep from distracting too much from the intended subject.
