Afternoon shadows

Floating Island, Utah

In response to the comments about scale...
The vertical distance between the playa (light-colored mud at top) and the camera is about
900 feet (274m). A dirt road runs along the bottom of the playa. Two years earlier I took almost
the same photo, with my car in the picture: http://www.pbase.com/listorama/image/48646667 .

It's easy to lose the scale in this image, and for a moment I thought it was a fairly small area of tidepool near a beach!

This looks like Death Valley Salt Flats. Nice job with the bright surface of the desert floor.
