Setting up a Small Alter on Good Friday in Rememberance of the People Killed in the War in Iraq

Cindy Sheehan led a group of aproximately 100 protestors to Check Point One to the Western Whitehouse outside Crawford, Texas on Prairie Chapel road on Good Friday 2007. The protestors set up a small table as an alter to pay tribute and respect for the people killed and injured in the Iraq war, Cindy then led others in reading from a long list of the over 3,100 US Servicemen and Women who have died in the Iraq War serving their country. This was a solemn ceremony with just the names being read to a single drum being beaten and the crowd stating that that person was dead. During the reading one leather jacketed male rode by on his Harley Davidson which he opened up his throttle to disturb the peaceful ceremony, one other couple on another motorcycle did drive by several times but they did not stop or make any undue noises when passing. There were less than a dozen Bush Supporters driving by in their cars or on motorcylces Friday at CheckPoint One and NOT A ONE was in downtown Crawford at the blinking highway light where hundreds have set up in the past.

There were no Caravans of Pro Bush Cars driving past Camp Casey 3 pn Good Friday or Easter Saturday, No People on Horseback, No Motorcycle Brigades, Not even one Pro Bush Supporter entered the gate at Camp Casey 3 or stopped on the shoulder of the Highway to Counter Protest. Now there were a couple people who did approach the Greater at the Entrance to Camp Casey 3 who wanted to know if they had permission to use names on the crosses that are set up but it turns out that only a handful of the crosses have names on them and the ones that do were families that did give permission for the names to be used, those people then soon left after they walked over to look more closely at the crosses that are set up.
