William Gordon 2

the Winnah

Had to post this bw version. Id never met William until yesterday I sat and drank with him for 20 mins, but in that time he talked about his family and life. There was a big window behind me which enabled the natural light to hit his eyes. What a character. 77 today and looking good with many stories. In our drunken state it was still a pleasure.I learnt alot about life and the good nature of people yesterday. This is one of my favourite candid portraits. Its a statement on life and how hard it can sometimes be. Thanks William it was a pleasure.Color version Below please give him the time of day.

Alot of character in that face. I really like the B & W version - gives you the raw and emotional vision of him. Excellent work.

Impressiv expression! IMHO the abstraction works with more impact in b+w! I prefer this to the color version!
