PSS After One Seasons Use

After an entire season all I have to show for this installation is a tiny carbon/graphite line, which is barely visible.

This is line is left over from the break in process of the face and carbon rotor smoothing each other. The bilge is now bone dry & keeping the boat as mold free as possible is a good thing.

Notice that everything below the water line is double clamped.

You had alot of good tips and I'm sure I'll need them, especially avoiding the transmission output shaft replacement. The new seal is going into a 2003 catalina 28.
Elimination of the "mold" issue under the aft berth will be welcomed by my wife as she usually has the cabin cleaning duties.Keeping water on the outside of the boat is a good thing!

Some recommend using a second hose clamp ONLY if the hose barb is long enough to support two hose clamps. Using two hose clamps on a short barb can damage and restrict flow in the hose. Also, using non-perforated hose clamps like the ones used on the bellows are less likely to damage the hose over time.
