...looking to the Western sky, I have never ever seen rays of light like this after the sun disappears under the horizon - you'd have to see it with your own eyes & a 180 degree FOV to truly appreciate this.

This is definitely a very interesting light effect! Do you know the reason? Take a look at my photo: http://www.pbase.com/image/67088974 The rays on my photo are darker than the sky, your rays seem lighter.
