Congratulations again. Brilliant gallery and a great photo to finish it off. The contrast between beauty and dereliction couldn't be more marked here. It's as if she is frozen in time and has waited so long for (X) the entire house has crumbled into disrepair around her.

As if she had to stay there because if she walks, she will ruin the shoes. I like the idea that she looks comfortable, while everything is telling us that she should not.

She waits .. looking eagerly down the hallway for his arrival wearing her prettiest dress, the bracelet he gave her, legs crossed at the ankles to keep them from jiggling with excitment.
It is evidenced in her pose ... in the door left open so she can see his arrival .. in the petal-strewn corridor she'll run down to meet him.
But the door was only hanging off its hinges from disrepair and the "petals" were bits of colored brick and glass left behind by vandals ..
He never came ..
And still she waits..
