Boulderball Game

view map

Joshua Tree National Park, CA.
From Jumbo Rocks campground.
The rounded rocks were formed below strata millions
of years ago as ground water percolated around them.
Rocks like this are almost everywhere out here

I know this place. Nice composition of a piece of this impressive formation. Love the rounds rocks.

Sorry, I haven't been to my own gallery for a few months and haven't seen any comments.
To find this shot climb!
You can see the top boulder from the campground but the second boulder is hidden behind a low shelf. Just climb up and you will see it.

Beautiful color and lighting!
If you don't mind, I have taken this shoot but without the round boulder in the foreground. For the life of me I can not find this angle. I have seen it before. Is this on the backside away from the campground?
I love this shot, best I've seen.

You know that is exactly the right name for this shot. It is so weird it looks staged!
Your shots are very different/good.
